Facts about Chile for Kids

Valparaiso, also known as Garden City, holds the largest annual fireworks show in the entire South America. Chile is the sixth largest exporter of wine. Besides wine, Chile also exports Salmon, Copper, fish, fruits, paper and pulp and timber. Climate of Chile is exactly opposite to the climate of North America. Chile is the narrowest country in the world. In the northern desert Atacama, there has been no rain fall for the forty years.



In the entire South America, Chileans are considered as the most formals with men greeting each other with handshake and women greeting each other with a kiss on the cheek. In the Latin America, Chile is the most favorite tourist destinations. Along with Ecuador, Chile is the only country is South America that does not border with Brazil. Chile claims about 1.25 million square kilometers of Antarctica; however, as per the Antarctic treat, United States does not recognize the claim as valid claim.
