Facts About Valle Nevado Chile

Valle Nevado is a popular South American Ski Resort that is located about 45 km east of Santiago, the capital city of Chile. Founded in 1988 by French Businessmen, Valle Nevado is developed on the models of famous European Alps Ski Resorts. With its 800 hectares of skiable area, large terrains, modern features and constant upgrades in the facilities, Valle Nevado is one of the best ski resorts in the South America. It also hosted 2005 World Snowboarding Championship.




The base of the Valle Nevado ski resort is situated at an altitude of about 3000 meters and its highest elevation is about 3800 meters. Valle Nevado ski resort offers more than 100 trails, 1 terrain park and different categories for trails for the beginners, intermediate, advance and expert skiers. There are total eight lifts including one high speed detachable squad, one fixed grip squad, one double chair and four surface lifts at the Valle Nevado resort. Starting from late June and ending with October end is the peak ski season at Valle Nevado Ski Resort.
